About Denarau Island

Denarau Island is the address that put Fiji's luxury tourism on the map. A 2.55 square-kilometre private island joined to Viti Levu by a short causeway, it lies just 20 minutes from Nadi International Airport and gathers the country's densest cluster of five-star resorts - Sheraton, Hilton, Radisson, Westin and Sofitel among them - around an 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course. The hub of island life is Port Denarau Marina, Fiji's premier marina and the departure point for cruises to the postcard Mamanuca and Yasawa islands, ringed by restaurants like Sails, Nadina and Bonefish plus boutiques, duty-free and provisioning. Residential Denarau means gated precincts of waterfront and golf-view villas, manicured and secure, with resort amenities a short walk or buggy ride away. For investors, much of the housing sits within resort-villa programs that combine personal use with managed, tourism-led rental income - returns that ebb and flow with the seasons rather than running flat. With Fiji's strong destination brand, gated-island scarcity and easy airport access, Denarau remains the country's blue-chip lifestyle holding, subject to confirming the foreign-ownership rules that apply to Fiji property.
